My Rolling and Coasting Third Year Life

                    Gosh, I cant believe that my time as a junior is already winding down. It feels like I am just in the second grading period. I guess that goes to show how quick time ticks down. Lots of things happened to me this year. Some of them have given more meaning to my existence, some helped me discover my talents and some, they just brought me down. As the school year winds down, I guess I should give some throwbacks and look back to what happened to me this year.
                




     So first, let's start with how I discovered what I'm really good at. See, we had this role play. Its about Romeo and Juliet. The thing is that, in our group, we decided to make a new generation style of play. We changed the plot but still, Juliet died. During the play, I really felt nervous as I watched my classmates act as Romeo, especially when I watched Ruiz. He was such an outstanding role player there. When its our turn to act, I just gave it my all. I really felt great after I received good comments from our classmates and even our classmates. From then on, I really became confident with my acting skills.
 





                   Now let's go with more good things. I am really looking forward to the next school year because this year, I regained my self confidence about my studies. For the past two years, I have been struggling to find a reason to believe that I can survive CavSci but now that I got good grades, I really feel great about myself. This year has also brought me new friends. Friends who are always there for me. It's also the first time that I experienced having a teacher who really reaches out to her students as if we were just her friends. Love you Ma'am!
              


     Yep, I gained new friends this year but I guess I also lost one of the best friends I ever had. Let's just say that losing her really struck me. Lets hide her by the acronym "SSN". She's my friend ever since first year but suddenly, she stopped talking to me and now, I feel liek she already forgot about me. If ever you are reading this, I know that you know who you are. Uh,... Whatever I did, I'm sorry. Please forgive me coz I am really missing you...
                  


  So, my life as a junior student has really been challenging. Its been a journey full of ups and downs. I hope I get to do more of the things I made this year because no matter how tough it has been to me, I really love being a third year student. I just cant believe that I'm already at the dawn of my high school life but that's just how life goes. GOODBYE THIRD YEAR HIGH SCHOOL!!!

Am I Special?

        There have been times when I have doubted myself. I have really gone through points in my life when I questioned my abilities. I also thought I dont have a purpose here on Earth. It just feels like everybody else is so big while I'm getting smaller and smaller. 
        I thought I was not a special kid after all. Why would I think of such morbid things? Simply because of the terrible things that happened to me. It seems like they are getting all the breaks and I get all the heartbreaks. It was really  hard and tough time. I struggled but somehow made it through.

        Now, I have proven that everyone is really special. I realized that God made us different from each other and it is up to us to find out how we are special. Sometimes, you even have to go through hard times to realize your purpose here on Earth. Me, I have realized what I have to do and that is to make other people happy with what I can do.

Letter to God

               Dear God,

                              You brought me into this world by the means of my parents. I started life with them and up to now, they are still giving me all my needs. They nurtured me, sheltered me, and loved me like no one else can.I really believe I never would have made it without them beside me.
                               They have given me everything. They gave me material things and more but the greatest thing they ever gave me is their love. It hurts me when I realize that I have given them a lot of headaches. That's why I hope you will give them all that they deserve. I know that I can never do anything good enough to thanks them. 

                                 God, I pray that my parents can live a peaceful, wealthy and happy life when they grow old. Please give them long lives for I know they will live it to the fullest and with purpose. I also want to thank you for giving me such amazing parents like them. Just know that I am willing to give my life for them if that's what I have to do to repay them for giving life to me.

Damn Regret

                    We, as humans, definitely have things that we regret in life. There are things that we wish we have never done nor talked about. It sure is tough. Imagine living with these regrets lingering in the back of your mind. If you wouldnt get over these regrets, there will be lots of struggles that they may bring to you.
                    I have to admit that I am living my life with a few regrets. I really wish that I have done the right things. Let me tell you a story that gave me some of the deepest regrets of my life.
                    Back when I was in first year, I got really relaxed with my studies. Who wouldnt when you have been getting good grades ever since elementary? I really got confident since I have always been a part of the Top 10 in our school since the year that I transferred. I really felt great about it knowing that I am a student of the best school in town. The problem is when I got to high school, I realized that I am not that good after all. There are a lot of other students who are much better than me. I got real poor grades. Since first year, I had to work real hard, double time to comply with my skyscraping target grades. I really was like a lost child by that time. i was like "Oh dear nature, tell me what to do."
                    I really regret being that relaxed and lazy. I hope I never did those things but, I am already here now. I cant change it anymore so I just learned to thanks these happenings. If it wasnt for them, I would never have learned to be a responsible person. It also made me realize that I should continue on improving myself.
                     Sometimes, you just gotta take these challenges head on. Give your best and live your life with no regrets. That's the best way to find happiness.

Let's Go Back to The Time

          If I would be given a chance to talk to someone who is a part of history, I'd choose the best basketball player ever, Mr. Michael Jordan. No one compares to him and his basketball skills and I.Q. that's why he is considered G.O.A.T (Greatest Player of All Time).
          I would really like to invite him to a park near a basketball court. There, we could watch the new generation people like me play ball. I would love to ask him these questions and hope he asks me with these answers. (Note: I got some of these from Michael Jordan's own quotes.)

Me: Good morning sir. Uhm, what advice can you give to the new generation of basketball players?
Him: Its very simple. I have failed a lot of times in my career. Ive had struggles again and again and I tried and tried, that's why I succeeded. If you give up, that's the only time you become a loser.
Me: Well, those struggles never seemed to have affected you. Is there a way to conquer them?
Him: Boy all you got to do is keep your faith and do your best.
Me:Right now, there are so many great players such as Kobe Bryant and Lebron James. If you were to choose between these two,who would you pick?
Him: Id take Kobe. He's the only one who has done all the needed work to succeed. He is the only one who deserves to be in comparison with me.
Me:Thank you sir. Its really great meeting you. Till we meet again sir.
Him: Youre welcome. Thank you.



        If I could be given the chance to make this dream come true, Id be so happy about it. Ever since I was a kid, I grew up watching tapes of Jordan's best plays. Now, I am collecting Jordan shoes. That's why I chose him to be the one I'd like to meet. Its simply because he is the GOAT.

The 9 Circles of CavSci

                    I am proudly a student of Cavite National Science High School. Its a great school, filled by great teachers, great staff, and great students. Its actually the best school if you want to excel in studying. Everything is fine, except for some things that are too mainstream. There seem to be rules that are really necessary but are sometimes hard to obey. I like to call these the 9 Circles of CavSci. In Dante's Inferno, the nine circles represent the weight of the sins and punishments that sinners will get after their life on earth. That's why I chose the circles to represent the school violations because they also have punishments. 
                    For the first circle, it would be the No ID No Entry rules. It might seem simple but once you become a persistent offender, you might just get your parents summoned to school. Our school has enough staff to check those people without ID right at the gate. The second one will be the late comers, who are guarded by the fourth year students called "Student Patrols". Every morning, they stay at the gate to get the names of the late comers and the inform the class advisers. The third circle would be the sock colors. I just dont get the point of choosing only one color of socks that students can wear and consider it a rule. The fourth one is the rules on noise. I just think that we must have a freedom of expression but in a proper way. The fifth is the rule about playing basketball while in school uniforms. Its just a sport and for students like me who love the sport so much, we would really give in to the urge to play at any given time. The sixth circle of CavSci is about English Speaking. For me, we must speak our mother tongue and be proud of it and if we speak english everyday, how can we do that? The seventh one is about the Spanish subjects. I love the subject but I just dont see the point in studying a subject that we wouldnt use if we would really be "Science Leaders". The eight is the grade requirements. Its just weird that we have such strict grade requirements. Its nice because it gives us more determination to pass grades but I guess it should be less tight. The last and worst circle of all, KICKOUT.  If you dont study hard and get good grades, say goodbye to your school!
  

Mobile Texting: Is It A Plus or A Minus?

                   In this modern era, it sure is common among us to use cellphones for communication. Most of us have phones and it sure makes communication a lot easier. One way is through text messages. By the use of it, we can send messages to the people around us in a click. At the end of our fingers, we hold international communication. It really makes life easier for us. A long time ago, we had to write letters even for people who are far away from us. Distance really makes communication inconvenient. Through texting, we do not have to wait for days anymore to receive a reply to our letters.
                   If I was to take my stand on this topic, I'd say it's a positive thing. Some say that it ruins our English fluency but I dont think so. Its still up to the user actually. If you really text in the normal spelling of words, it wont be a problem. If you would want to be a "Jejemon", thats your choice. No one's gonna stop you. Its simple all about discipline. For me, it does a lot of good help for us so why criticize it that much? I mean, we can just settle down and relax. Just look on the bright side that texting helps us a lot.
