Because of the wrong news that reached Romeo, he headed to Juliet's tomb with a poison from an apothecary. When Romeo reached the tomb, Paris was also there. Romeo requested Paris to leave for he does not want to commit another crime. Though Romeo requested Paris to leave, Paris insisted to stay. With that, they fought each other which lead to the death of Paris. After defeating Paris, Romeo drank the poison and died beside Juliet. When Juliet woke up, Friar Laurence was there. Friar Laurence left her because the watchmen are coming. When she was alone, Juliet kissed Romeo hoping that there is still some poison left on his lips but nothing happened. Finally, she saw Romeo's dagger and stabbed herself. She died right there, beside the love of her life, beside Romeo. When Prince Escalus arrived with Montague, Montague was really frustrated and at the same time sad. The Capulets also felt the same when they came. Realizing all the things that their children had to sacrifice just to stop the feud between them, the Capulets and Montagues both agreed to build a gold monument of Romeo and Juliet. Now, this is how I would prefer the story to end:
Romeo went to Juliet's tomb to see her for the last time. He brought with him a poison that he bought from an apothecary. When he arrived, he saw Paris there and requested him to leave. Paris did not leave and instead, he insisted that he should be the one staying beside Juliet. Because of the commotion, the two of them started fighting. Romeo killed Paris and now, he's beside Juliet and is about to drink the poison. Right before the tip of the bottle touched Romeo's lips, Friar Laurence came. He explained everything to Romeo and asked him to just wait until Juliet wakes up. When Juliet woke up, Romeo hugged her tightly and then, Prince Escalus came with the Montagues and the Capulets. When the Capulets and Montagues saw Romeo with Juliet, they realized how cruel and selfish they became because of their family feud. Right then and there, they fixed the quarrel between them and both agreed to build a golden monument for Romeo and Juliet.
